It’s been more than a year since I’m posting on and off on this blog. In case you may ask, I’ve been busy with office work for the past months. Yes I really do miss blogging hence if I’m not that busy at work, it’s either I spent time browsing outer banks homes for sale here or do some blog update (you know what I chose today… hehe)…
Anyways, so what’s up? I think the last thing you know about me is that I’m back to workforce… hmm, that’s a year ago, haha. Well, my recent work has been so challenging. I’m a SAHM for 5 years then suddenly back to office work. Mind you it’s not easy. I don’t have any house help, but slowly I was able to manage and adjust. With the help of my youngest sister, the thought of ‘who will take care of my son when he comes home from school’ was not a problem. And we’re lucky I’m living near my parent’s house so the help comes always no other than from my mom and dad.. hehe… So just imagine our daily routine. It is very hectic but we’re able to survive. Talk about time management, hehe… i’ll share that to you next time.
By the way, I was planning to do some makeover with this blog in the coming days. Yes, I’m really trying to go back on this blogging thing… Hopefully I can keep up… That’s all for now. Thanks for stopping by.
As a stay-at-home mom, you are likely to find yourself with a huge list of things which need doing. From redecorating the spare room, to working on your latest cooking project, there will be hobbies which you are keen to indulge in, are chores which simply need doing. Along with looking after your children, it can sometimes seem difficult to fit it all in. With this in mind, here are just a few top tips for making the most of the time you have.
Firstly, it is key to remember that although there may appear to be a never-ending list of things which you need to do, it is still important to remember to make time for yourself. Often, this can be useful in motivating you to get on with the jobs that you’re not so keen on. Why not reward yourself with a game of CheekyBingo, or by watching an episode of your favourite TV show? If you’ve been telling yourself to cut the grass for weeks, then why not follow it with a spot of yoga, for example? This way, you are far most likely to achieve a good mix of doing the things which you enjoy, and those which simply need doing.
Plan your time, day by day, if you really want to get the most out each week. Having a huge to-do list can seem overwhelming, and can often result in few tasks actually being completed. Instead, it is far better to break down the list of things which you want to do, and assign certain tasks to each day which you have available. This will also give you a good opportunity prioritise and tick off the most important tasks first.
Lastly, don’t forget to relax. The key to making the most of your time is often to be fully rested and refreshed. As a stay-at-home mom, this is likely to be something which you will need to make a conscious effort to do. However, even small changes – such as making sure that you get a good night’s sleep – can make a noticeable difference in the long run.
The Advantages and Disadvantages of a Daycare and Baby Sitter
If you are a parent and you will need to find someone to take care of your kids while you are at work, your option will be to bring your child to a Connecticut day care or hire a baby sitter.
Each have their own advantages and disadvantages. Let us take a look at each one of them:
• Hiring a baby sitter means that your child will just stay at home and the baby sitter will be the one to come to your home to take care of your kid. This gives you confidence that your child is safe and secure as she is just at the confines of your property. This can also help your child to adapt faster to the baby sitter setup as he is already used to the environment. Getting a baby sitter ensures that your child will get extra attention as the baby sitter only has to take care of a small number of kids compared to a day care where there are more kids being watched by the day care staff.
The disadvantage though of getting a baby sitter is that some of the baby sitters are not trained enough compared to day care staff in terms of providing early education to your kids. And since your kid will just be alone in your house or with a small number of children only, hiring a baby sitter does not provide a good environment for your kid to interact and socialize with the other kids, which plays a big part in developing the child’s interpersonal skills and is a very important skill to learn by kids of their age.
• A CT daycare on the other hand has staff that has been well trained to provide the love, care, and attention that each child in the day care needs. Daycares are not only a place where you can leave your kids but it can also act as a CT preschool as it provides a structured environment where your child can learn the basics like colors, shapes, letters, and more which can be a good head start to prepare your kids before they enter a formal pre-school. Since there are more kids in a daycare, children will learn how to socialize and interact to help them build their social and interpersonal skills at a very young age. Daycare is also a much affordable way to get help in taking care of your kids than hiring a baby sitter, which usually charges by the hour.
The disadvantage of sending your kids to daycare is the risk that your child cannot get 100% attention, as there are more kids that the staff attends to. That is why in choosing a daycare, it is important to note the child to staff ratio to make sure that proper attention is given to all the kids in the daycare.
As a parent, it is important to weigh these pros and cons to help them decide between the two options. Each child is different and may react differently on the two setups mentioned. At the end of the day, the parent should decide which setup best suits the personality of their kid and which setup will give the parent a peace of mind that their kid is in the best care while they work to earn a living.

I was shocked and deeply saddened when I learned Steve Jobs died already… ☹ Yes my husband and I are a big fan of him.
His visions and creative genius will always be remembered. And true enough the world has lost an amazing human being.
Thank you Steve Jobs for sharing your innovations. It makes a difference in such a great change in our lives…
Office work got me busy lately and so I have little time catching up and updating my blogs. But I do miss blogging and sharing a lot of things here. Well, I will try to do it slowly and hopefully could do all stuff I’m thinking and planning regarding this blog.
Anyway, not only I miss blogging but when I saw this site of various digital slr cameras, I miss taking photos using my one and only slr cam. ☹ it’s been a while since the last time I use it. I was thinking now to invite my family and have a picnic so I can take shots haha… but seriously I want to do that, just like having an outdoor photoshoot… nice idea huh!
And yes another thing I miss doing….. chatting with my online friends. social networking like FB, twitter are not permitted in the office, hence no way I can chat. It will be expensive if I’m going to subscribe everyday for the unlimited surfing on my phone. But I might give in soon, haha…. Let’s see. Looking for a nice promo then so I can get connected again…
That’s it for today… hopefully I could do blog update everyday before heading to bed or at least twice a week haha…
If you have been looking to build a bridge between your financial status and the happiness of your loved one, then you can understand how difficult it is to find affordable engagement rings with diamonds in them in this modern day. Fortunately, it is possible for you to be able to impress your beloved while, at the same time, taking care of your pocket. All you have to do is purchase the diamonds for your engagement ring online. The only catch with purchasing diamonds online is that you cannot do it blindly without any research. Here are a few things that you need to know to be able to purchase diamonds online.
1. Multiple smaller diamonds are cheaper than one big one:
This is a trick that not many people are aware of. However, at the same time, most jewelers try to use this trick to their advantage. A large diamond with a certain carat value would be much more expensive than a dozen smaller diamonds whose carat value adds up to be the same. You can use this to save money while also buying something ravishing for your beloved.
2. The better the cut, the better the beauty:
The cut of the diamonds is something that you should never compromise on. Simply speaking, the better the cut of the diamond, the more brilliant it will be. You should also try to ensure that the cut of the diamond matches the setting.
3. Only visible inclusions should be avoided:
Inclusions play a major role in the value of the diamonds. Therefore, if the diamond you are about to buy has inclusions then the cost of the diamond will be less. However, there are two types of inclusions. One type is visible through the naked eye and the other is not. The cost of your purchase can be lowered and the beauty maintained if you buy diamonds with inclusions that are not visible through the naked eye.
4. Colored diamonds are also an option:
The modern trends allow for engagement rings with colored diamonds as well. Colors like blue are extremely famous and many celebrities use them as well. Needless to say, these are cheaper than colorless diamonds.
One of the perks of having your own home is that you can decorate and redecorate each corner of the house anytime. If you think that its time for a little makeover, you can do it easily without having to go through permits or anything. One of the best areas to decorate is the bedroom and of course your kid’s bedroom should probably be the place to start with.
You can get a lot of decorating ideas on magazines and websites that are related to home design. The first thing to consider is whether or not you would like a central theme for the entire room. Now it is probably easier if you have an infant or toddler but once you have a young adult, be ready to hear their opinions and suggestions. Having a theme will make the whole process easier from the colors, accent pieces and small details you can just stick to one concept rather than having to mix and match.
Look at the amount of available space that you have in the kid’s bedroom. Avoid buying bulky mattresses or putting a lot of stuff if you have a cramped space. They should be able to move around freely without any distractions.
There is no need to spend money on expensive bedroom items. Checkout discount stores and watch out for any upcoming furniture sale. Remember that decorating should be fun but it doesn’t have to be expensive.

It’s been a week now since I’m back to work force… I’m thankful I got the chance to work again in a corporate world after 5 and half years of being a Stay-at-Home Mom. Though it took me a while to look for a job, everything happened for a reason and I know this is now the right time. God is indeed so good and that He let me prepare everything before I go back to work… The quote above is really perfect…
Well, it’s not easy and I’m still adjusting to my different routines. As for Miguel, I make sure I have my time for him. In fact, we still have our breakfast and dinner together.. oh yes! Since he goes to school early, we have our breakfast together and I let him leave first before I’m off to work. At night, I make it a point I’m home before 8pm so I can stay with him for dinner and still assist with his homework. Thanks to my flexible office time and I can manage that. So not much of changes between me and Miguel but my online time has lessened… I could hardly check my facebook and twitter accounts now, LOL …. Well, I will try to set at least 2 hours at night before sleeping to do some online stuff. If I could checked even the Best weightloss pills, then why not do a little blog posts and check what’s up with my friends, right?
Changes might be a little difficult at first but I believe as I go on this will be part of my daily routines… and I know God gave me this beautiful blessing so I can continue help other people…
School started a couple of weeks ago and that means I’m back busy teaching my son with his school stuff. That’s in fact another work of being a mother (at least for me) to assist our child’s homework and help them review for their examination. I remember last year since Miguel was starting his Primary/Grade school level, I have to set extra time to do reviewers for him and assist his homework every day. That’s actually how I teach my son until today… and using some ways like timer works perfect for both of us.
Doing this for over a year now made me think why not continue to become a teacher. Later on I can also provide tutorial services to other kids. Well, not bad idea but of course a formal training or education is needed. Good news is it can be possible by taking teaching degree online. Because a lot of people now are into Internet using a pretty wise technology, having a degree could be achieved at the comfort of your home. And one can be a professional or a degree holder by attending classes online. One of which is taking a teaching degree online to learn the necesary skills for being a teacher.
If before you need to take transportation going to school, now a fast internet connection plus a comfortable place is what you needed and you can study and learn online.
While on search for Diet pills that work fast I came across instead an article on PCOS diet… PCOS stands for PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome and a big part of the problem with PCOS is the high insulin resistance. That’s why following a certain PCOS diet will help reduce the effects of PCOS on fertility. Yes that caught my attention since I’m one of those women who have this.
Below are the PCOS diet guidelines that I want to share. This might help some of my readers who have the same problem…
1. Balance your daily protein with equal amount of carbohydrates
Choose whole grain or sprouted grain products like on brown rice: breads, grains, cereal
2. Eat low glycemic index foods
Example: any vegetables, whole grains, unprocessed foods
3. Eat a diet high in fiber
Great sources: brocooli, celery, whole grains, apples, dark leafy greens
4. Eat 5 meals a day
Suggested pattern is:
Breakfast (right away when you wake up)
Snack (less than an hour before bed)
5. Eat essential fatty acids daily
6. Exercise 30min 5 days a week
7. Eat Organic
8. Quit Coffee (I think this is hard for me, LOL! )
So there. I’m posting this also as my own reference. I think I have to seriously adapt this PCOS diet if I want to have another bundle of joy…
