… musings of a Stay-At-Home Mom

Books are fun!

“Books are great!”… got the tune? :) Yes that’s from Barney song, hehe…

Anyway, last Friday after Migs’ school we went straight to Times Square and have lunch at Delifrance. Yes, I have a lunch date with my little boy. We do it once in a while just the two of us. After our lunch, we went to the library. It was his request and wanted to borrow some picture books. So off we went to the Central library.

When we were at the kids floor area, he immediately sat on one side and took the headphone.

They have a birthday party in school that’s why he’s wearing casual clothes that day instead of the school uniform.

I guess he’s listening to a nursery rhyme song then with some Q&A at the end ‘coz I hear him saying “Yes” … :)

While he was busy on that one, I was browsing different picture books. Look at these piles of books… :)

If only I could carry plenty, then we’re going to bring home lots of books but then we ended up borrowing only these…

… and the one at the top is his favorite to read. There’s a story of animals inside that he couldn’t help laughing. :D That’s what we’re busy reading during the night.

Maybe next week as we return these books, we’ll borrow another set. Oh yes, I also borrowed one for my own reading pleasure, hehe…

I wish there is something like this here in the Philippines. When I see you guys, I somehow envy mommies who can take their kids to places like this one… Dito kasi pangmayayaman lang ang mga ganyang lugar, not like in other countries na napaka-accessible nila.

Oh anyway, I love Migs photo, yung 1st, parang seryosong seryoso, akala ko he sat down and was staring at all the books and thinking what to borrow, until I read the caption, nakaheadphones nga pala sya! LOL.

    Hi Litzie,
That’s one thing I really like here yun library nila na parang mall, hehe… may elevator/ escalator pa kasi talagang malaki sya. One floor sa kids lang meron kasi dun pang babies din na portion tapos one floor pang adults naman. In our place may malapit din na branch ng library so kahit dun namin sa Central hiniram, we can just return it here.. kumbaga naka centralized sila. Ang galing. And yes it’s accesible nga for everybody. :)

I love the pictures that you have taken! You have a great eye! What a fun way to preserve memories for your son, too.
