Mommastuff Question#2
Do you have routines for your kids? Care to share? Does it really help?
Yes we do have routines. When my son started his nursery school last September 2007, we have our daily routine, a flexible one. He has school only in the morning so we all woke up early and not to mention we’re residing at Kowloon side and the school and hubby’s office at HK side… you imagine the mommy’s sacrifice?
well, don’t ask anymore, hehehe….
Anyway, here’s our basic daily timetable. It differs only on weekends.
5AM – 6AM: ME time. But lately I can’t stick on this, that is because I sleep late at night.
6AM – 8AM: Breakfast; Prepare Migs for school; I make it a point to leave 8AM so we can catch up the bus going to the station.
8:30AM: school bus arrives
After I sent Miguel, it’s ME time (total 3 hours) doing my housework and errands (go to market / supermarket to buy veggies and other stuff for cooking.) In between works is my pc time…
if there’s a chance, I do scraps/blog/surf, etc, etc….
12NN: off to pick up Miguel.
Then as soon as we arrived home, we have lunch…. While I’m in the kitchen, I’ll let the little boy watch TV. Once I’m done, it’s nap time for him. He knows that already.
But there are times he don’t want to sleep, then it’s playtime for us… or do homework … or play on pc… it varies depending on the mood.
By 5pm – 6pm, prepare for dinner then Migs eat first. The husband usually go home late and I wait for him.
Around 7pm – 8pm: Bathtime for the little boy; preparing for sleep then bedtime stories- read books over and over… minimum of 2 books.
Once the little boy is asleep, time for me to do some cleanup. (this is the never ending work!) And after, that’s the ME time… either I watched TV with hubby or work on pc. The later is always my priority, hehe…
Having this kind of routine is a big help for me especially I don’t have any househelp. I just really have to stick on schedule ‘coz sometimes I’m carried away with pc work especially on scraps thus I’m overload with housework, hehe….
So that’s it! By the way my bedtime varies. But it’s always late.

Thanks Nice!
