Christmas week (part1): 3 days before Christmas

Christmas 2008

I wanted to document (will be part of our Dec Daily Album) and at the same time, share to you our Christmas 2008. And let me start it with a recap 3 days before the Christmas day.

Ok, let me warn you first this is a bit long post… ;)

By the way, the photo above was our tree. Let me show you one more photo of the whole tree:
Our Christmas tree 2008
This is the same as last year. No addition of ornaments. I only added the little Santa below. It should be the manger but I can’t seem to find one that I like. I might buy one in Manila next time. Also you can see some toys down there… those are santas gifts to Miguel which he collected since Dec 13 as he’s doing the tradition of 12 days countdown to Christmas…

Ok, now to my story… :)

Dec 22, Monday. The weather temperature was between 15C-20C degrees. The word I can describe for this day: LAZY day or maybe a good word was RELAXATION day or sort of ME time… lol! Ok, that day I have to accomplish 2 more Santa’s gifts plus Mommy and Daddy’s gifts to the little boy. I planned to go out after lunch and finish all the shopping. So in the morning (I woke up a little late by the way), I worked on few online tasks, updated my blogs, uploaded some photos, cleaned a bit on my pc, chat with some friends, etc, etc… all in front of pc. The husband on the other hand was in front of his pc as well, playing starcraft games… when Migs woke up, I gave him milk then after he’s asking if he can “work” on the pc too. (He called it “work” when he’s going to use the pc even he’s playing games… hehe) … So 3 of us all working in front of pc that I didn’t notice the time almost 12pm and we don’t have food yet for lunch. LOL. (At that moment, hubby and I wished we had a helper..)… Ok, we don’t have a choice and because we’re not a big fan of food delivery hubby and I cooked. We had our lunch past 1pm. :D After eating (yes I didn’t wash dishes yet) I went back in front of pc again. (you called it addict, hahaha!) … This time I’m done with my online jobs. I wanted to scrap and at least do 1 layout (PS was opened all along) but no mojo came and my creativity completely dry  so I spent net browsing getting some inspiration and even reading on life insurance quotes. I felt so lazy that day that my plan of going out to shop was canceled, hahaha! I said I will just go shopping the next day. So literally we stayed home the whole day, lazing around and worked in front with our own pc, hehe… I took some shots on how we positioned working on our own but I’d rather keep it private…. :)
Then that night my day was completed by watching Twilight together with a friend, hehe… Yep I watched Bella and Edward and I’m soooo happy. I’m presently reading the book so I was thrilled when a friend of mine can come along to watch with me. Hubby and I can’t watch together with a little boy in tow. Of course we can’t leave him. It’s good there’s a nearby cinema here, 1 block away from our house. I went home just before 12mn. Oh by the way, the book is better. I have all the 4 e-books saved on my iPhone so that’s where I’m reading it… :)

Dec 23, Tuesday… our PRODUCTIVE day…
I woke up early and do household chores early… loaded laundry, folded clothes, sorted things inside the room, cooked food and after lunch continued with our general cleaning. It’s good the husband was here and he’s helping me. While we’re cleaning, the little boy was busy playing toys inside his room another mess to be done but well I told him to clean up after playing…. We’re done late afternoon, tired but I’m happy that everything was in order unlike the day before, hehe… But my plan of going out for shopping has been postponed again. So no gifts yet at the moment, huh!…. That night, we’re invited for a birthday and just a good timing since we’re both tired and we can’t cook anymore. :)

Dec 24, Wednesday… this is the HAGGARD day…
I’m sure you know why? Hahaha. I went out alone after our lunch and rushed to finish gift shopping. I’m supposed to be home by 6pm to get ready for our dinner and mass at 9pm but came home almost 7pm, yayay!. While the husband was preparing for our food, I let Migs take his bath and play his bath toys for few minutes then I’m inside the room wrapping the gifts, hahaha! Super haggard but anyway, I made it in time. After dressing up to hear mass, I told the husband to go ahead and I’ll just follow so I can prepare Santa’s gifts. It was last minutes preparation but everything went well.
As soon as we arrived home from the Midnight mass, Migs was so delighted to see gifts in our tree and also behind his big stocking. (Santa’s gift was a bit bigger and it won’t fit inside his big sock, so it’s placed behind instead of putting inside.) Here’s a shot of him as we arrived home and before opening the gifts.

More photos on my part 2 post, the Christmas day!

Ok so that’s how the days went by before the Christmas day. I’m glad the husband filed an office leave, so he’s with us at home together with Migs’ 2-week school break.

Thanks for reading :)
