Friday, January 30th, 2009

I can’t find any other farm toy but this:

Well it’s full of farm animals, hehehe…
This is an animal shape sorter toy, a gift to Miguel during his 1st birthday party… It’s now kept inside the cabinet and not use anymore.
Thanks for looking. Happy Weekend to all!

Great Family deal

Friday, January 30th, 2009

Hubby and I were dreaming of family getaway out of the country, preferably somewhere in US. Presently my in-laws are there that’s why we’re eyeing to go to that place. This dream became our plan for almost 2 years already, LOL! Whenever we put this as one of our priorities, there’s always a big expense coming through. Well, still the plan is there, only we don’t know when will it happen. :)

Lunar New Year Fun Fair

Friday, January 30th, 2009

This is supposedly my weekend update but didn’t get the chance to post it the other day.

Anyway, last January 24 was the Lunar New Year Fun Fair at Miguel’s school. Last Year, we didn’t join the fun so this time we signed in and went to the fair.

We were given a stub and need to complete 8 stamps to get a surprise toy. To collect the stamps, we have to play the games on the different booths. :)

This was the first game.

Wishing you all a healthy and bountiful Year of the Ox…

That’s our little Chinese boy, hehe… that was taken last Friday as he wore his Chinese costume. Since it’s their Chinese week last week, they’re asked to wear in Chinese traditional clothes.
Anyway, for today’s Chinese New Year, we just stay home [...]

Moving Soon

Monday, January 26th, 2009

I guess I haven’t talk about that yet but yes we’re going to move to a new flat this year. This would be our third time to move to a new house here in Hong Kong, hahaha…

One of our goals this year 2009 is to save more. We can achieve that by cost cutting. As we randomly checked our daily expenses, one thing that we can lessen was the transportation expense and the rental fee. We heard that rental would go down this year so we’re taking advantage of that. I browsed online and checked houses here in HK for rent and looks like we can get the same size as what we have right now at a lesser rental fee… On the other hand, since we’re staying at the Kowloon side, we’re planning to move at the Hong Kong side and we’re getting the place near my son’s school bus station. That way we’re not going to have any transportation expenses at all. That’s a big cut to our budget.

When to move?

Saturday. We’re at Migs’ school in the morning for the distribution of the 1st term assessment report. I’m happy to hear from the teacher that Miguel was academically good. I saw his assessment papers and yes he’s doing great. Our only concern was his Chinese subject, and [...]
