As we welcome 2009…
Sorry but I’m not done with my holiday postings, hahaha… but I guess this is the last for the holiday happenings… 
So how do we welcome 2009?
We went to Tsim Sha Tsui, along Avenue of Stars for the countdown. Unlike with our previous New Year celebration wherein we just stayed home, this time we went out and joined the crowd for the countdown. The location was just 10 minutes walk from our home. We knew there would be lots of people going there so we left the house a little bit early around 10pm. We stayed alongside Avenue of Stars, which we thought we could witness all the countdowns and the fireworks that we expected but there were no fireworks, hehe. Anyway, here’s my little boy while waiting for the countdown…

He’s wearing a green cow horn headband with lights (it’s year of the cow this year). We bought it right there as he saw other kids and adults wearing it too. So we bought one for him, hahaha.
The crowd few minutes before 12…
The countdown was done fronting the IFC building, near the Tsim Sha Tsui clock tower. We didn’t know that it was the exact location and we’re positioned on the other side and we can’t see the IFC bulding at all, hahaha… so as soon as the clock hit 12AM, everybody was greeting happy new year and we just saw few lights on the building fronting us, hahaha… I’m not ready by that time to take shots so I didn’t have beautiful photos then. Only the lights as you can below, hahahaha…
I’m expecting fireworks but nothing, hahaha. Oh well, I got the wrong information, hehe…
Anyway, no regrets going there at all… we felt the new year gathering with the crowd and my son got the idea of new year too.

As soon as we arrived home, we had Media Noche and little chit chat thru webcam with family back home in the Philippines. Hopefully next year we can celebrate it there.
