Photo shoot on Monday
Oct 29, 2007 Mommy talk, me/mine/myself
I was supposed to blog early but I woke up late. So no opening of the computer but instead hurrying up to have the little kiddo ready for school. Though I was like a busy bee early in the morning, I’ve been productive on my photography. After I sent the little boy to school, I didn’t go home instead I spent my free hours at Hong Kong Park and enjoy taking photos. Actually the main reason was to finish my assignment for the DSLR newbie challenge and the place was just perfect for our shutter speed topic because the park has different running water that I can use as subject. You can find two photos below where I was able to take a freeze action and blurred motion of the water, which is an effect for change in shutter speed. I took more photos and experiment different shutter speed “stops” and I’m just happy with all the results. I’ll be posting more photos later on my other blog.
Mommy on photography
Oct 19, 2007 Mommy talk, me/mine/myself
Yesterday I spent my time taking photos and do my assignment for the 2nd week on DSLR newbies. That’s why I totally forgot to make a post here, hehe… I tell you I have so much fun and I’m happy I’m learning to use our DSLR now. Before I’m hesistant to use it ‘coz I don’t know how to operate (I’m lazy reading manuals, hahaha) and since I do have my new digital cam that time, I don’t give a damn to try the DSLR. But now, I don’t even touch my digital cam, LOL!
You can find my finish assignment on my other blog.

Since today is holiday, we’re off in a while to get the little boy’s spooky costume for their Halloween fashion activity in school next week. Then hopefully we can start to paint our pumpkin tonight, we bought one yesterday.
I’m also checking on the net on some yummy spooky cookies to bake or some chocolates…. I’d like to give some to Migs bus mates…hehe
Ok, happy weekend everyone.
(By the way, while doing this post I’m chatting with a friend from Manila and she just informed me there’s a bomb around Glorietta 2. Hope everything is alright now… ) take care friends! ![]()
Acne’s Proactiv Solution
Oct 17, 2007 Health, me/mine/myself
Now I know the answer to my acne problem, the proactiv solution. The first time I learned this product was from a fellow pinay scrapper, Amore and she told me to try Proactiv, the one she was using and really works for acne treatments. I immediately visit the site and checked how this product works. So basically it helps the skin heal the blemishes that have right now and helps stops new ones from forming in just 3 quick and easy steps.
Renewing Cleanser
Revitalizing toner
Repairing Lotion
And like my friend, it worked too on other people so I’m planning to try this treatment as well. And as they said, I have nothing to lose but my acne! ![]()
A handful of medicines
Oct 11, 2007 me/mine/myself
Because I was coughing since weekend, and last night the most severe one (I just can’t sleep until 2am), I went to the doctor this morning for a check-up. And the result, it’s a possible bronchitis, YAY!
So now I have those medicines to take. Though I won’t be taking antibiotic yet, the doctor handed me this one already in case I won’t be ok for the first 2 days. I just hope I’ll be better soon because this cough is killing me, hahaha… it’s hard to take care of a little boy when I keep on coughing and when I’m inside the bus seems like everyone was looking at me as if I have a contagious disease.
More later. Ciao!
Moms, Ladies, Girls: At-Home Beauty Treatments
Oct 4, 2007 me/mine/myself
Morning peeps! Early morning catches the bird, so don’t be surprised if you see my time I’m too early for blogging,
…
Anyway, yesterday while waiting for hubby (Migs already sleeping and I always wait hubby for dinner), I was able to surf on the net, yippee! Aside from my usual hop on cooking site, I find my way to some beauty tips and this time I find an interesting article from kaboose.com (I discover this site due to my regular posting on 2peas gallery).

Gift for myself
Oct 3, 2007 Working Mom, me/mine/myself
Dainty but elegant. Something that can be worn with anything from jeans to silk….
I’m imagining here a designer inspired jewelry that I would love to have on Christmas, LOL! It took me years to buy jewelry as I’m not really fond on this one. So if I have money or I saw one that I really love, then that’s the time I’ll buy for myself. And for the coming holiday, I’m planning to buy as my personal gift unless hubby would buy it for me *wink*. …. I just thought I deserved to have one this year…
Cooking Musings2: Sauted Mongo Sprouts and Asparagus with Oyster Sauce
Oct 1, 2007 Cooking Musings
It’s another cooking musings for this week and if you love veggies then you will surely like this recipe.
Instead of repeating other vegetable dish, I hunted on new recipe one afternoon when hubby asked for a veggie as our dinner. My search directed me to Pinoycook.net (one of my fave site for cooking reference) and saw this Sautéed Mongo sprouts and Asparagus. Since it has an oyster sauce, which I love to use, I didn’t have a second thought and said I’m going to cook the dish.
I have cooked this twice already. I’m not happy though with the first because it’s too oily due to the pork fat. So on the 2nd time around, it turned out good and hubby have it as his packed lunch
Top commenters plug-in
If you have noticed I have my top commenters at the side…
I installed WordPress Top commenters plugin/widget last Saturday night. Since it’s widget ready, I can remove myself easily on the list, but I wanted to include the links too… I will figure that one later, hehe…
Now, what about a holiday RAK base on that list?
mmmm….let me think, anyway it’s been a while since I do my last RAK here and I just miss doing it again, hehe… keep an eye!
*hint: go comment now! * ![]()

Sep 25, 2007 Whats Cookin'

Instead of doing the Peanut Butter treats, I made this Oatmeal Chocolate Chips.

I post this right away so I may not forget it at all anyway it’s only one photo meaning easy to resize, hehe…

Sep 23, 2007 Cooking Musings
As I introduced you to my cooking musings post, this is my first recipe share with you for this weekend…

I got the recipe on this on a newspaper clip that was left here in the house and saw it during the time of our move (that’s 2months ago).. But I just tried to cook it recently.
Ok without further ado, here’s the recipe:
Cooking musings
Sep 23, 2007 Cooking Musings
That’s my new category on my blog but let me disclose first I’m not a good cook, but I love cooking
… and from time to time I tried recipe that I have seen on the net or in cookbook or in leaflet that’s given for free. And that said, I plan to share those recipes here on my blog on a weekly basis once I have tried it…
Aside from sharing the recipe with you one important reason I’ll be doing this is for me to have one point of reference. For sure I’ll be repeating the dish again and most of the time I can’t remember where I have taken the recipe.
At least if I have it posted here, I won’t have a hard time looking for it anymore…
So keep an eye. I will show you in a while my first weekend cooking recipe…
Ciao!
My Skin drama
Sep 19, 2007 Working Mom, me/mine/myself
About a week ago, I read Amore’s entry on her skin drama and I leave a comment that we have almost the same skin problem, ACNE that is. And she shared on her blog what products she use and I said I might try it too… Now here’s my own skin saga: since the start of summer, I always have problem with my pimples or acne coming out more often compared to last year. I suspected the face powder, which I applied for the first time was one causing it. I wanted to use skin products but I just don’t want to take a risk of using anything especially that I’m not sure if it’s really good for the type of my skin.

DigiScrap Mac
Jul 25, 2007 DigiScraps
Before I went offline last week, I remember I’m reading threads at DST forum. And I stumbled one thread where they talked about Mac and I found this blog- Digi Scrap Mac. I’m so happy with this ‘coz I now have point of reference for advice and tips on digi scrapping using Mac.
The author, Katherine a.k.a. ScrapYard Kath posted lessons everyday since she started the blog last March. And I’m slowly reading each lesson now. It’s really helpful and very interesting to read…
So if you got a new Mac or thinking of switching then this is a great resource ![]()
Let me share this…

Just to let you know
Jun 29, 2007 DigiScraps, Working Mom
Before I flood this blog with lots of posts for today, I just want to let you know that yesterday has been my scrap day…
I’m sure you’ve noticed I don’t have any posting, no entry on cruises (maybe later on as I plan to take Migs this afternoon to have a boat ride and see the cruise ship there)…. or whatever but I have my Photoshop alone on my Mac screen….
and I’m happy I was able to do 2 layouts. Would you believe it for the longest time, I made 2 layouts for one day… really am glad.
Now why don’t you check it at my Scrappy Mommy site… the link at my sidebar, please? And while you’re there, don’t forget to leave some love… Thank you…
Buy hybrid stuff..
Jun 20, 2007 DigiScraps, Working Mom
Last week I started hybrid scrapping with my personalized gift coupons. By the way, hubby didn’t redeem it all yet… one at a time, LOL!
Now I’m looking forward to my next project, just simple one but I know I’m going to use it. Bree started her Landing Pads few months ago and I’ll start doing those templates to get me into groove of hybrid things. But before I proceed I need to buy some stuff for this one. So far with my last project, I bought few supplies- ribbon, cutter, a new scissor, adhesive tape, ruler, new pencil and 2 bic pens (in 2 different colors).
Pretty basic stuff, which I need to get me starting.
What I’d like to buy now are paper cutter (it’s hard using the cutter alone), more cardstock, some envelopes, hole punch, looseleaf rings and more assorted ribbons. Awww, these are plenty but I’m happy these supplies not quite expensive here. Hopefully I have this project finished before the weekend. I’ll let you know… Ciao!
Personalized Gift coupons
Jun 18, 2007 DigiScraps
Ok, that’s my hybrid project for Fathers Day and the one I gave to hubby…
Here it is:

A closer look of the box, which I made from scratch:

So basically, that’s 10 gift coupons where I wrote something that I can give/ do to my hubby. I haven’t bought any items for him, and so I just put it as part of his coupons that he can redeemed to me of course, hehe…
I love how this one turned out. I use the Son’s and Fathers kit of Lawanna Desjardin that looks perfect for Fathers day. And of course Bree Clarkson’s Gift coupons and box Landing Pads. It’s really cool. Can use for any occasion and the possibilities are endless. Not only for coupons. Check this to see what else you can do on that Landing Pads.
Neat idea, right?
And that’s the start of my hybrid thing… I’ll be doing like this more often as it really fun and I can see my digital work printed…hehe…
