{saturday tales}

Date July 13, 2008

Well, nothing much going on here for a weekend start… we (hubby and I) both lazy to do things at home, hahaha… And as for me, I just want to lurk on forums, blog hop and surf and not in the mood blogging and scrapping.

Yesterday, I woke up early and planned to blog and finish few online works but I ended up reading from one site to the other. Download goodies from CT. Then surf on fashion clothes to kids stuff, eBay and other online shops (I’m actually looking for a small kiddie luggage bag) then ending reading on some foreclosure property, HA! ;) …. The husband on the other pc, was also reading stuff on apple related articles, (Oh, did I tell you he’s one of apple fans, hehe… ) He managed though to cook for our lunch. ;) … and you may ask, how about the little boy? he’s watching TV…. well, we’re giving him the pleasure yesterday, :D …. soooo that was our Saturday morning, total boring one….. The ABC of Fashion

Date July 8, 2008

A: What accessories do you wear everyday?
I wear accessories only when going out. And I have 3 things that I can’t go without: my wedding ring, earrings, and watch. :) Sometimes I use my crucifix necklace.

B: What is your beauty routine?
I brush my teeth and fix my hair as soon as I wake up in the morning. Later I shower and I use day moisturizer on my face. I seldom use make-up when going out, only lip gloss. At night, after my shower I put on night’s moisturizer. (I’m used on putting face moisturizer as my face easily gets dry up)… then once a week, I do pore refining mask myself.

C: What was the last item of clothing (for yourself) that you purchased?
Blouse from Mango… They’re having a sale so I was able to shop some clothes for myself.

D: Do you use a dresser, closet, or both?
closet.

E: What type of earrings are in your ears right now?
Nothing now, but I often use my pearl earrings when going out.

F: What type of figure do you have?
I’m very average (short) in height (5′1″) I have a big hips  I think I’m on right weight but I see myself overweight, hahahaha… in other words, not sexy at all!!

G: Do you wear glasses?
Nope. I’m blessed to have a good eyesight, :)

H: What type of handbag do you carry?
I have a lot, hehe… I’m such a bag sucker. Anyway, I usually have a big bag so I can put some stuff for the little boy too. D

I: What is your ideal style?
just simple look. I usually have pants/slacks and blouse. Sometimes flat shoes but I go with slight heels sometimes. I don’t wear skirts or full skirts. I’m not that brave enough to do so, hahahaha.

J: What jewelry are you wearing right now?
Nothing now. :)

Weekend review

Date July 7, 2008

Saturday we’re at home, the husband does the cooking and we do grocery in the afternoon. Later that day we indulged ourselves with this yummy Dreyers… The little boy asked for it and since it’s too hot, it’s really nice to have an ice cream that day.

Sunday morning, the 2 boys went downstairs (at the backyard) and the little boy go biking, while am cooking for our brunch… ;)

Miguel looks a big boy here already… oh well, he’s growing so fast… ;)

…….. Then it rained in the afternoon but we went out to hear mass at St. Joseph church. We passed by Hong Kong park on our way home. Migs was delighted looking at the fishes again, hehe…

…………………………. After few minutes spend at the HongKong park, we went home straight. It’s good we’re inside the bus already as heavy rain started again. And instead of going out for dinner, I just cooked food at home. It was a wonderful family weekend. A pc time off for me and I was able to take some rest and spend quality time with the boys… :)

PhotoHunt: Pointed

Date July 5, 2008

Pointed flower
I don’t know the name of this flower. I just call it pointed flower, hehe… (There’s a Chinese name but I don’t know how to read. If you know, please tell me, okies… ;) ) I took this shot at the Conservatory at HongKong Park…

Happy Weekend everyone!

Are You a Mac or a PC?

Date July 5, 2008

Let me pop in this quiz before I stay drooling on iPods and MP3 players at buy.com… because I want to show the result to the husband as I guess it totally belongs to him,

You Are a Mac

You are creative, stylish, and super trendy.
You demand the best - even if it costs an arm and a leg.

Isn’t right tart?, hehehe…

Our pride and joy

Date July 5, 2008

We’re one happy parents when the teacher told us that Miguel has an award in school. And much more for my happiness when she (the teacher) mentioned that the little boy was academically good… my heart was really jumping in joy. Call it OA or what but I felt so happy and proud mommy at that very moment. That was 2 weeks ago during the PTA (teacher talked one on one with parents, give the assessment report and showed the kids’ seatwork in school). Then we have this big smile when we saw his assessment report… :D sooooo goody! Lots of A’s… ;)

Then last week was the awarding ceremony. It was our first time to attend such event as parents and witness awarding for our own child. Unlike in Philippines, usually graduation is being done separately from recognition, right? In Migs’ school here, they do it all together but for Kindergarten section alone. So if you have seen already photos on my flickr, there were graduating students in red toga. MiguelThen on awarding part, they give the award, which is a certificate put in frame already starting from pre-nursery up to the graduating kids. What I like on their ceremony was the straight-forward program. Intermission was part II of the ceremony. So you have the option to leave after awarding if you don’t want to watch the intermission numbers… but well it’s not that long anyway… All in all (part 1 and2) was about 2 hours. Another observation was that only the awardees go to stage. No parents ;) … and no taking photos in front. They have their own photographer. So if you see our pictures, they’re all zoomed in. We do have copies though from school, which they will give us later. In other words, parents were mere audience, hehehe… but there’s a part where the kids sang facing the parents. And my fave was the last part of the program where they have a slide presentation of all the activities and things done by the kids in school. The presentation was so good and while it was shown, graduating kids were singing “happy memories” It was the touching part and I saw some parents have teary eyes…

If you haven’t seen yet, you can view some photos at my flickr.
Thanks for looking!

Blog work out

Date July 5, 2008

After I shut the pc last night or rather this morning (around 3:30AM, yes that’s the time I went to sleep), I was thinking it’s about time to work on my blog’s rank again. I need to do some working here. I actually have plans in mind but I can’t get enough time to put them into action. But since it’ll be summer break for the little kiddo here, I guess I can try to work it out. I’m hoping that I can stick to my new schedule. I’ll start a tag or meme on this blog and seriously joining tags and memes too… :) And what I have in mind for now is a plain question prompt only. Since there are times I find it difficult where to start a post or what to post, I guess that would be a good idea. So let me do a weekend prompt then…

I’ll give more details on a separate post. Checking on cattle supplies first. ;) Stay tuned!
